Position Description

Looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to collaborate with a variety of staff and volunteers, with the following qualifications:
  • Ability to assess and prioritize tasks to be accomplished
  • Ability to outline and perform tasks with minimum supervision
  • Ability to efficiently/effectively manage time on tasks/projects
  • Ability to work consistently in activities that are primarily requiring standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing and general mobility
  • Possess necessary janitorial skills to thoroughly maintain a clean, healthy and attractive environment
  • Possess general knowledge of janitorial equipment, supplies and their applications
  • Ability to move and set up tables and chairs for campus activities
  • Possess necessary skills for landscape maintenance of shrubs and grounds with general knowledge of a variety of hand and power yard tools and equipment
  • Ability to shovel snow and salt walks with general knowledge of associated tools and equipment
  • Possess basic skills for minor plumbing, electrical, painting and building repairs with general knowledge of necessary tools for these tasks
 

Qualifications/Requirements

Professional qualifications for this position should include the following: High School Diploma or GED; at least 2 years or more of experience in facilities custodial and maintenance activities. Person in this position will participate and follow Diocesan & Parish Safe Environment Training and policies; complete Protecting God’s Children training and background check.

Position is Full-time with benefits. Hours: 8am-5pm, Mon – Fri during school year. Hours may vary seasonally, and as needed due to building emergencies or special projects/events. Position reports to School Principal and Maintenance Supervisor.
