CLA is a national leadership program for young adults in 10 major cities, rooted in the spirituality tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The world needs Ignatian leaders — passionate “contemplatives in action” discerning God’s movements in their lives and responding out of love as hopeful, joyful people with and for others. This kind of leadership flows from a deep spiritual life and inspired sense of purpose. When you join CLA, you will be given the chance to become a Contemplative Leader in Action.

You will be part of a community made up of passionate, encouraging peers. You will have opportunities to explore Ignatian spirituality and learn how to integrate it in your life. You will learn from generous, inspiring people dedicated to sharing their leadership insights. Through presentations, discussion, reading, prayer, and reflection you will have the time and space to contemplate the meaning of your life, the needs of the world, and how you choose to respond.

If you are a young adult (24-39), eager to improve your effectiveness as a leader, and willing to put your spirituality into action in service to others, then CLA is for you! Our ideal cohort is composed of people from diverse identities, professional experiences, and educational backgrounds. Cohort members enjoy 18 monthly meetings along with annual retreats and days of reflection, interacting with inspiring professionals and reflecting on the intersections of career, faith, family and leadership.
