Discernment Group

A Discernment Group is an opportunity for men who are considering a vocation to the priesthood to come together with others who are discerning God’s call. These gatherings provide a space to learn more about the priesthood, ask questions, pray, and receive guidance as you seek to understand where God may be calling you.

Meetings are led by Fr. Matthew Hood, Director of Priestly Vocations, and include prayer, group discussion on discernment, light refreshments, and fellowship with other men who are considering a vocation to the priesthood. New members are welcome to join at any time, as there is no requirement to have attended a previous meeting.

For many men discerning a priestly vocation, a Discernment Group can provide an opportunity to receive clarity, encouragement, and direction as they seek to follow God’s plan for their lives.
