Holy Mass with a Musical Setting to Honor the Culture of Jazz in Detroit
Since 2021, Detroit Black Catholic Ministry, in collaboration with St. Moses the Black Parish, has offered the Holy Mass in a musical setting featuring traditional jazz instrumentation, inspiring vocals, and soulful prayer. Rooted in Detroit’s rich jazz and gospel heritage, this annual celebration honors the power of music to deepen faith and bring people together. Traditionally held during Labor Day Weekend, this Mass celebrates our gifts and their enduring impact on the spiritual life of our community.
