Regarding Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church, Detroit (belonging to St. Raymond–Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish)

On May 7, 2026, Archbishop Edward Weisenburger issued a decree that relegates Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church, Detroit, to secular but not unbecoming use; that is, the building will no longer be used as a church by the St. Raymond-Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish community, which will continue to use St. Raymond Church as the parish church, as well as St. Jude Church for certain liturgies. The decision takes effect on July 1, 2026. A certified copy of the decree may be obtained by contacting the St. Raymond-Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish Office.
