Ste Anne Parish Detroit

Release Date: 5/8/17

On April 19, 2017, Archbishop Allen Vigneron issued two decrees concerning Ste. Anne Parish. The first establishes Ste. Anne Shrine as a place of pilgrimage located within Ste. Anne Church (1000 Sainte Anne St, Detroit, MI 48216) and is comprised of a relic of Ste. Anne and statue of her with the Blessed Mother. Ste. Anne Parish will receive pilgrims wanting to make a pilgrimage to the Ste. Anne Shrine. The second decree clarifies that Ste. Anne Parish may use the French-language title for the saint as the proper title for the parish and parish church; namely, Sainte Anne or, as abbreviated, Ste. Anne. Both decrees were effective upon signing. A certified copy of the decrees may be obtained from the parish office upon request.
