Deacon Thomas Carter

Deacon Thomas Carter, passed on from this life on June 18, 2025, at the age of 79. Deacon Carter is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann, 2 children, and 5 grandchildren.

Deacon Carter was born December 22, 1945, and was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on October 4, 2008.

Deacon Carter served his first assignment at St. Paul of Tarsus in Clinton Township from the time of his ordination until 2013, followed by an assignment at St. Isidore in Macomb Township until his retirement in 2021.

Deacon Carter's visitation will take place on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 3 - 8 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038, with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m.

Deacon Carter’s funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10 a.m., at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Road, Macomb, MI 48042. In state will begin at 9:30 a.m.
