Each year, from October through December during the Advent and Christmas seasons, parishioners throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit open their hearts to families from our region. For every donation, 100 percent of the funds are distributed to struggling families throughout southeast Michigan. These families represent every age and ethnic origin and reside in every county in the archdiocese. While many families receive gifts of clothing or toys from a parish giving tree, they also need your help to meet more direct financial needs such as food, prescription costs, rent and utilities. The Adopt a Family program is proud to help provide those services.
Please check back in October to read the stories and pick a specific family to “Adopt” for Christmas. All donations made to the Adopt a Family program between January and September will support families in need throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit. | Click here to read the family stories.
