Sports are a highly-important aspect of a Catholic School education in the Archdiocese of Detroit. Our goal is to educate students not only as academics in the classroom but also as leaders on the field. Learning to work together as a team is an essential part of family life and career, which we hope will bolster our students after their school years.
In the Archdiocese of Detroit we offer sports and physical fitness programs throughout both elementary and high school. The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is designed to introduce children to the basics of athletics and teamwork. The Catholic High School League (CHSL) is an environment where student-athletes learn to excel.
Largest Catholic sports league in the U.S. with 27 private high schools located throughout southeast Michigan. CHSL oversees all aspects of competition including game scheduling, rules, referees and records management for 19 separate sports.
An organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children throughout southeast Michigan. Through sports, camps and education, CYO aims to develop young people of our community into fair-minded, physically-fit adults.
