Our Lady of Grace

In early 2012, Our Lady of Grace, Dearborn Heights is to become a cluster partner with St. Sabina, Dearborn Heights (West Wayne Vicariate) and to develop plans to cluster or merge. The plan is to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012. The cluster plan should be implemented when a current pastor is no longer available, if a replacement is not available to be assigned, or when either parish begins to experience a net operating deficit. Plans should commence with models for initial collaboration and include contingency plans for programming, outreach and administration, for clustering/merging the parishes, and/or closing buildings and planning for the sale of property. This may result in short term, temporary administrators assigned, or a more permanent solution.

St. Hilary

In early 2012, St. Hilary, Redford, with St. Robert Bellarmine, Redford and St. John Bosco, Redford (Northwest Wayne Vicariate) are to move forward as cluster partners and develop a cluster plan to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than December 31, 2012. The plan is to include collaboration towards a cluster, then a merger of all three parishes, and should be implemented when a current pastor is no longer available, if a replacement is not available to be assigned, or when any of these parishes begin to experience a net operating deficit. Plans should commence with models for initial collaboration and include contingency plans for programming, outreach and administration, for clustering/merging the parishes, and/or closing buildings
and planning for the sale of the property. This may result in short term, temporary administrators assigned, or a more permanent solution.

St. Christopher, SS. Peter and Paul (Westside), St. Suzanne/Our Lady Gate of Heaven, and St. Thomas Aquinas

In early 2012, St. Christopher, SS. Peter & Paul, St. Suzanne/Our Lady Gate of Heaven, and St. Thomas Aquinas are to develop plans for collaboration with greater detail and specificity about the “new church model” they are considering. A draft of this plan is to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012. In addition, those parishes without a cluster partner (St. Christopher and St. Thomas Aquinas) will identify one and develop cluster plans which should be implemented when a current pastor is no longer available, if a replacement is not available to be assigned, or when either parish begins to experience a net operating deficit. Plans should commence with models for initial collaboration and include contingency plans for programming, outreach and administration, for clustering/merging the parishes, and/or closing buildings and planning for the sale of the property. The cluster plans could result in a short term, temporary cluster or may lead to a more permanent transition. The cluster plans are also to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012.
