Church of the Transfiguration, Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Alexander, St. Clare of Assisi, St. Colman, St. Fabian, and St. Gerald

In early 2012, Church of the Transfiguration, Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Alexander, St. Clare of Assisi, St. Colman, St. Fabian, and St. Gerald are to identify cluster partners, and develop cluster plans to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012. The cluster plans should be implemented when a current pastor is no longer available, if a replacement is not available to be assigned, or when any of these parishes begin to experience a net operating deficit. Plans should commence with models for initial collaboration and include contingency plans for programming, outreach and administration, for clustering/merging parishes, and/or closing buildings and planning for the sale of property. This may result in short term, temporary administrators assigned, or a more permanent solution. In addition:

1. In early 2012, St. Alexander will need to develop a realistic plan to become current on its outstanding payables and debt owed to the Michigan Catholic Conference as well as to the Archdiocese of Detroit. The plan is to be submitted to and approved by the Regional Moderator and the archdiocesan Director of Finance and Administration no later than June 30, 2012. Without a reasonable, approved plan the parish cannot expect to continue.

2. In early 2012, St. Clare of Assisi will need to develop a realistic repayment plan for its debt to the Archdiocese. The plan is to be submitted to and approved by the Regional Moderator and the archdiocesan Director of Finance and Administration no later than June 30, 2012. Without a reasonable, approved plan the parish cannot expect to continue.

Divine Providence (personal parish)

In early 2012, as clustered parishes, Divine Providence (Lithuanian) will develop a plan to merge with St. Anthony (Lithuanian) in Detroit to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012 and to be implemented no later than June 30, 2013.

Our Lady of Albanians (personal parish)

To strengthen the archdiocesan commitment to the Albanian ethnic community, Our Lady of Albanians should develop plans to be a cluster or merger partner with St. Paul Albanian in Rochester Hills, to be implemented when a current pastor is no longer available, or if a replacement is not available to be assigned. This plan is to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012.

St. Andrew Kim (personal parish)

As a sign of its commitment to the pastoral care of the Korean community, St. Andrew Kim will consider ways to welcome other Koreans throughout the Archdiocese and submit a plan to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012.
