Are you looking to “give back?” Looking to “mentor” children? Maybe you just look good in red? If any of this applies to you, it sounds like you would fit in with the CYO Adult Committee! To find out more, read on.
We are known as either your friendly "Red Shirts" or CYO Adult Committee. A very well invested group of amazing volunteers who are involved in numerous parishes throughout the Archdiocese as well as their community.
Most of the committee became involved as youth, and chose to give back in their adulthood by joining our group. I personally attended Rainbow as a high-schooler, joined youth council my senior year, and have been a part of the Adult Committee for over 14 years. CYO has truly played such an amazing role in my life not only as a youth but in my adulthood with friendships and lessons that will truly last a lifetime. The saying is true, “CYO, a part of your life …all of your life!”
Our Committee's current main volunteer focus is on Rainbow, W.I.N.D. (Walk In New Directions), as well as the CYO Camps - so the time commitment is not too intense if you are looking for a new way to become involved. We’ll take only the time you care to give.
We are always looking for new volunteers, so if you would like more info you can contact us through www.cyodetroit.org.
