Media Availability on Archdiocese of Detroit Parish Planning

Detroit Archbishop Allen Vigneron this evening, Wednesday, November 30, is expected to receive from lay leaders within the Archdiocese of Detroit a set of recommendations pertaining to the future of the archdiocese, its 270 parishes and its countless ministries. These recommendations will be published on the Archdiocese of Detroit website by Thursday morning.

To discuss these recommendations – which will be considered by the archbishop in his formation of a final plan in early 2012 – Archdiocesan Pastoral Council chairman Edward "Chip" Miller and Archbishop Vigneron will be available on Thursday morning to members of the media.


To discuss the Archdiocese of Detroit's "Together In Faith" planning process, and plans formulated by parishes and lay leaders to be considered in the coming weeks by Archbishop Vigneron
