Fr. Donald DaceyMarch 18, 1927 - June 25, 2015 Our brother and fellow priest, Father Donald Dacey, passed on from this life on June 25, 2015 at the age of 88. Father Dacey was born on March 18, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan and ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit on June 6, 1953. Father Dacey’s assignments included serving as pastor at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Beverly Hills; St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Allen Park; and St. Conrad Parish, Melvindale. He also had served as associate pastor at St. Cletus Parish, Warren; St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Allen Park; St. Theresa of Avilia Parish, Detroit; and Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Visitation will take place at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Avenue (between 13-14 Mile), Royal Oak on Sunday, June 28 from 3-8 p.m. Father Dacey will lie in repose on Monday, June 29, at St. Regis Parish Church, 3695 Lincoln, Bloomfield Hills from 10 a.m. until the celebration of his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Father Dacey was predeceased by his parents Emmett and Loretta, and brothers, Robert and John. He is survived by his niece and nephews.
