Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is February 22, 2023. As we prepare for the Season of Lent, let us keep all intentions in prayer. There are no COVID restrictions, so gratefully, we return to the “normal” method of distributing blessed Ashes. Some have asked about the distribution of blessed Ashes to residents in care facilities and the homebound. We can also resume this custom with the Liturgy of the Word accompanied by the distribution of blessed Ashes. Please see the guidelines in the Book of Blessings, number 1656 and following.
Rite of Election
As in past years, there are four celebrations of the Rite of Election and the Call to Continuing Conversion. Please submit this form before February 6.
Chrism Mass
The Chrism Mass will be on April 6, 2023, at 10:00 am in the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Please register for and sign up for Holy Oils using this form.
Easter Vigil on April 8, 2023
Some have asked about the time for the Easter Vigil this year. The Easter Vigil is celebrated after 8:00 pm (sunset is 8:05).
