First Saturdays on Ste. Francoise Street is a street fair honoring the first recorded Black Catholics in the city of Detroit, Francoise and her brother Joseph, children of an enslaved couple who lived along the Detroit River in the 1730s and the contributions of the black community to the shaping and development of the City of Detroit.
