Dear Jesus, I ask you for patience today,
Show me, help me, and guide the way.
In the morning, when I’m hungry,
Remind me to wait.
Let my little brother have the first round of pancakes.
At school when we form a single line,
Give me patience and let others go first every time.
At home during dinner when I have a story to tell,
I should use my indoor voice, instead of an impatient yell.
If the last shall be first,
And the first shall be last,
Dear Jesus, fill me with patience
And be with me
Wherever I go.
