The Joy of Love

Amoris Laetitia

"The Joy of Love experienced by families is also the joy of the Church."
-His Holiness Pope Francis

Pope Francis' apostolic exhortation on family life, Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love) is the result of the synodal process initiated by Pope Francis in 2013. During 2014 and 2015, bishops, clergy, religious and lay people, along with Pope Francis, addressed a wide range of topics on Church pastoral practice in relation to marriage and family life. It reaffirms the Church’s teaching that stable families are the building blocks of a healthy society and a place where children learn to love, respect and interact with others.
