Action Plan: Group 1

  • San Francesco
  • St. Hubert
  •  St. Peter
  • St. Louis
  •  St. Thecla

St. Hubert and St. Louis

In early 2012, St. Hubert and St. Louis are to move forward as cluster partners and develop a cluster plan to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012. The cluster plan should be implemented when a current pastor is no longer available, if a replacement is not available to be assigned, or when either parish begins to experience a net operating deficit. Plans should commence with models for initial collaboration and include contingency plans for programming, outreach and administration, for clustering/merging parishes, and/or closing buildings and planning for the sale of property. This may result in short term, temporary administrators assigned, or a more permanent solution.

St. Peter and St. Thecla

In early 2012, St. Peter and St. Thecla are to move forward as collaboration partners, and develop plans for evaluating programs and determining areas for collaboration, to be submitted no later than June 30, 2012, so that upon the need for implementation of a cluster, the parishes will have already developed relationships.

The cluster plan should be implemented when a current pastor is no longer available, if a replacement is not available to be assigned, or when either parish begins to experience a net operating deficit. This would result in a short term, temporary cluster or may lead to a more permanent solution.

San Francesco (personal parish) and Holy Family, Detroit (personal parish)

As a sign of archdiocesan commitment to the pastoral care of the Italian ethnic community, San Francesco is to become a cluster partner with Holy Family in Detroit (Renaissance Vicariate, Planning Group Two). They are to develop a plan to cluster or merge, to be implemented when a current pastor is no longer available, if a replacement is not available to be assigned, or when either parish begins to experience a net operating deficit. Plans should commence with models for initial collaboration and include contingency plans for programming, outreach and administration, for clustering/merging the parishes, and/or closing buildings and planning for the sale of property. This plan is to be submitted to the Regional Moderator no later than June 30, 2012.
