Regarding the funeral service for Officer Collin Rose

A funeral service for Wayne State Officer Collin Rose, who died last week from a gunshot wound sustained on duty, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 22412 Overlake in St. Clair Shores.

Wayne State University is overseeing a video feed inside the church during the service. To inquire about access to this feed or other matters of coverage, please contact Matt Lockwood of Wayne State University, at 313-577-9098 or mlockwood@wayne.edu. Please know that, to respect the dignity of the occasion, no other recording devices— video, audio, or still photography— will be allowed in the church before, during, or after the funeral service, and that no media interviews are to take place in the church.  A parking area for news media near the church will be defined by the Detroit Police Department during the funeral. We kindly ask that you heed any direction from the police in regards to parking and access on and around the church property.
