Catholic Television Network of Detroit (CTND) will air coverage of a vigil for peace for Syria, led by Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m. Eastern. A re-broadcast of the event will take place at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
Pope Francis has urged Catholics worldwide to make Sept. 7 a day of fasting and prayer for peace in Syria, and has invited the faithful of Rome and pilgrims to the city to join him in prayer at the vigil.
Coverage of the vigil comes via the Boston-based CatholicTV network.
Approximately 1 million households in the Detroit area have access to CTND through cable providers Comcast (channel 398), Brighthouse (channel 16) and Wyandotte Cable (channel 73).
