To mark the election of the new pope, Detroit Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron will lead a Vespers prayer service at 5:15 p.m. in the chapel of Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit.  The public is welcome to attend.

A news conference will immediately follow the service.

After the new Holy Father is introduced, and prior to the prayer service, Archbishop Vigneron is expected to release a statement regarding the new pope's election.

Sacred Heart Major Seminary is at 2701 Chicago Boulevard in Detroit, off of Linwood.
