Position Description

Responsible for providing secretarial and related office services for members of the pastor, parish and other committees and boards.  

Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Maintain sacramental record keeping. 
  • Manage cemetery burial arrangements.
  • Schedule and process Mass intentions/stipends and Forty Hours Devotion.
  • Greet and refer visitors.
  • Schedule appointments, processes mail, types or word processes letters, reports, memos.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, open parish mail.
  • Answer phones.
  • Maintain the parish calendar.
  • Scheduling parish facilities.
  • Prepare and produce weekly church paper.
  • Manage parishioner roster.
  • Responsible for maintaining the parish offering envelope system.
  • Manage CSA and ParishSOFT.


1. Have computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
2. Have minimum of a high school degree.
3. Some secretarial or administrative experience ideal.
4. Typing and keyboarding skills

1. Be a person who enjoys working with people and projects a cheerful demeanor.
2. An ability to work closely with all parish staff members and parishioners.
3. Understands the importance of confidentiality of church records and conversations.
