Position Description

The Alumni Coordinator reports directly to the Advancement and Admissions Director and is a member of the Advancement team. Serving as an ambassador of the school, this position is responsible for the planning and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni and produce tangible benefits for the school, and its’ alumni.

Qualifications/Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create and maintain pathways for alumni participation that advance the goals of Cabrini High School.
  • Develop an Alumni Association – attend/arrange its meetings, and ensure strong and productive relationships between its members and the Advancement office.
  • Plan, implement and promote alumni programs that support the High School’s strategic plan.
  • Ensure accurate and complete alumni database records; capture contact, biographical and career information of alumni.
  • Establish and build relationships with a wide range of alumni, locally, regionally, and nationally; maintain regular communication with alumni via direct contact, email blasts, alumni web pages, social media and print publications.
  • Develop, plan and oversee at least two major Alumni events each calendar year.
  • Develop and produce a bi- annual Alumni Newsletter.
  • Educate graduating students about alumni benefits and engage them in programs.
  • Communicate development-related activities via website, Alumni print material and social media.
  • Publicize and coordinate Homecoming activities with the Athletic Department.
OTHER SKILLS:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with alumni and colleagues throughout the High School.
  • Strong writing, planning and organizational skills. Also, computer skills including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and using databases
  • Flexibility and initiative, as well as the ability to work independently, combined with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve institutional goals.
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines.
  • Preferred, but not required: some identifiable experience in alumni relations with demonstrated accomplishment in fostering productive relationships with volunteers and developing volunteer leadership.
  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Provide statistics to our administration regarding our alumni to show students success after high school
  • Assist alumni as needed with their reunions and other special events
