Position Description

We are seeking an innovative and qualified secondary teacher to join the faculty of Brother Rice High School.  The applicant will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of Chemistry.
 
The position will involve teaching Chemistry classes to students in grades 10-11. The applicant will be a motivated individual with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning and to excel in the subject area of chemistry.

Qualifications/Requirements

All teachers in the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit shall be certified and /or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan. All teachers are required to hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach.

Education:         
A relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in content area and a valid teaching certificate in content area (DC or suitable).

Experience:       
Three years of successful high school teaching experience, including successful teaching of Chemistry.
