Atwater Brewery | Detroit | 6:30-8:30pm
Join other young adults for some socializing, food and beer.  Are you confused about God’s will in your life, or are you feeling far from Him? Does prayer feel dry to you? Do you feel indifferent about your faith? Perhaps you’re experiencing great joy and peace, or you feel on fire for your faith and close to God. Are you facing an important decision? The discernment of spirits is the art of sifting through spiritual experiences in order to distinguish what is from the Lord and what is not. Sr. Solanus Casey Danda, SOLT will be talking with us about using St. Ignatius' Rules for Discernment of Spirits to help us to become more aware of the inner movements of the heart, to recognize which are from God, and to discern how to respond to them, which can be especially helpful when making important decisions. We hope to see you all there, and bring a friend.

Col’s Place | Madison Heights | 7:30-9pm
Chat up some new peeps or familiar faces every 2nd Thursday of the month at this regional young adult get-together. Col's Place is a metro staple. If dogs aren't your thing, the fries, chicken & dumpling soup, and salads are fantastic. Great portions at an even better price!  As Congress (maybe) decides to address immigration reform, it stirs up some heated talking points among people from different political ideologies. Can you support a wall on the border without being xenophobic? Can you advocate deporting individuals who had no decision making power when they were brought to his country illegally? Do you think we can even have a real debate on this issue, or are politicians just looking to score political points with their bases? Come and see if we can have a healthy debate on the very complex issue of immigration reform!

x54lwj19szovnrao16d8iplawis7ah2z Engage the Culture – OLGC Young Adults
Our Lady of Good Counsel – Parish House | Plymouth | 7pm
Engage the Culture is a new series offered by the OLGC Young Adults Ministry to address problems that particularly affect young adults. People in this demographic have been becoming increasingly less religious in general and less Christian in particular. The reason for this varies greatly from person to person be it their intellectual dissent of religion, negative personal experience, or a whole host of other objections and barriers to faith. Whatever the case may be, the Church must respond with love and compassion or risk a multitude in the generation not knowing who Christ and His Church truly are. This is why we are going to hold special events to help us go out into the culture and engage it head on. From objections due to apparent scientific disagreement with the faith to understanding what struggles young adults deal with on a daily basis we hope to assist young adults in witnessing their faith to their generation with confidence.  Join us for pizza and good discussion.
