The Solanus Casey Center's Young Adult Ministry (Tap Into Life) is asking for travel-sized hygiene items for the guests at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. As a service project to honor the upcoming Beatification of Father Solanus Casey, young adults are encouraged to join in a prayer service, social and service project concluding the hygiene drive on Sunday, November 12 at 6 PM. All the donated hygiene items will be packaged up by young adults and then delivered to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Everyone is encouraged to bring travel-sized hygiene items when they are planning to visit the Solanus Casey Center. Please donate items to the Solanus Casey Center, 1780 Mount Elliott Street, Detroit, MI 48207, any day of the week 9 AM to 5 PM. Please donate items by Saturday, November 11. (No donations will be accepted at the Solanus Casey Center after November 11.)

This will be our final Detroit Mass Mob for 2017. The Detroit Mass Mob XXXVII will be at Christ the King Catholic Church and grade school. They have one of the only 4 remaining (out of 108) Catholic grade schools left in the city. Many of us cannot go back to the school or even the church we attended when we were younger, so let's all come out and help this church and school stay open.  The Mass on November 12, 2017 will be at 10:45 am with a reception in the school afterwards. The Solanus Casey Center's Young Adult Ministry (Tap Into Life) is hosting a prayer service and service project to honor the upcoming Beatification of Father Solanus Casey.  Young adults (Age 18-35) are encouraged to join in a prayer service at the Solanus Casey Center (1780 Mount Elliott Street, Detroit, MI 48207), then follow us to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen for a social and to hear Br. Bob speak about their programs. We will conclude our evening with a service project, packaging up hygiene items for guests in the shower program. Fr. Solanus Casey was a humble Capuchin Friar who was credited with miraculous cures and valued for his wise and compassionate counsel. He spent his life in the service of people. Because of his holiness, Pope John Paul II declared him Venerable in 1995. Pope Francis has announced that Fr.
