The Sympto-Thermal Method identifies a woman's time of fertility by correlating three signs: mucus, temperature and cervical changes. It also asks couples to chart disturbances such as stress, prescription and over the counter drugs.
Daily observations of the cervical mucus sign indentifies the beginning of the fertile time. Using the Sympto-Thermal Method, women can learn when their fertile time ends by two signs— after day three of a sustained temperature shift or after cervical mucus stops, whichever is latest. Register online for Sympto-Thermal Method classes by visiting the Couple to Couple League (CCL) at www.ccli.org. CCL is a national organization promoting strong marriages through the teaching of Natural Family Planning.
