The Health Care Ministry works in the parish to inform the faithful on important issues in health. Whether it be providing information of medical research or basic health care issues that we all face, the ministry works to get the word out to parishioners.
The archdiocese also aims to have a parish nurse in every parish as well as chaplains to provide pastoral care to the sick and anointing to the dying.
The Health Care Ministry offers training to volunteers interested in serving as parish nurse or those who would like to administer the Eucharist to the sick and homebound. Courses are held throughout southeast Michigan and can be requested through the Office of Christian Service and Health Care Ministries.
