Sistine Chapel Choir to give first ever Detroit performance »

The Sistine Chapel Choir from Rome, commonly recognized as "the Pope's Choir," will make its first-ever performance in Detroit on Saturday, September 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Detroit Opera House. Their performance in Detroit will culminate the Choir's historic return to the U.S. for the first time in over 30 years, which also includes performances at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. The Choir will perform to a sold-out audience.

The funeral service for Steven and Cynthia Collins, the couple found deceased last week in their home in Warren, will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 11 at St. Mark Church, 4401 Bart Ave., Warren 48091.
Due to the dignity attached to the occasion, and at the respectful request of the family and the parish community, we inform you that no recording devices — video, audio or still photography — will be allowed in the church or elsewhere on parish property for the funeral service. We likewise ask that no media interviews take place on parish property before, during or after the funeral. The church parking lot will be reserved for attendees and will not be open to media vehicles.
Thank you for your attention to this request and for your sensitivity to the family’s and the community’s need for personal space at this difficult time.
